Branding & VI
Tsui Wah restaurant was established since the 1960s. It was an era of ‘Spirit of Lion Rock’ and in close relationship within the neighbourhood. We put together the human touch, local culture and a series of characters we well known. It was including Bruce Lee and Ip Man, who are the representatives of Chinese Kung Fu in the 60s; the landlady, cooking housewife, delivery boy, the usual tenants resided in the old tenement building in Hong Kong style; the popular movie characters in the 80s and 90s; until nowadays the ongoing horse racing, lion dance and selfie couples…. all these characters we are familiar with. Stenciled typeface is used as the new logo inspired by the lettering on old signage, also one of the main visual culture elements of Hong Kong.
